Kelly Vaughn
Kelly Vaughn is a singer/ songwriter from Dallas, Tx. He has spent the last 17 years as the singer and guitarist for the rock group Kickstand.
Kelly has recorded numerous cd's, most recently Instrumentals Vol.1 (2010) Old School (2009) and Horseshoes and Hangrenades (2007).
His guitar playing has been compared to Santana and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Contemporary artists that draw comparisons are John Mayer, Maroon 5 and The Fray. Think Bon Jovi but younger, Barenaked Ladies but not so goofy or Goo Goo Dolls but not as serious.
A multi-instrumentalist, Kelly plays piano and mandolin and weaves different percussion elements into his music. He produces and engineers his own albums and has done voice-over and production work for radio.
He has appeared in various magazines and newpapers as both a featured artist and guest columnist. His blog often covers topics such as recording, personal adventures or the music business in general.
Kelly has also written several instructional books including 365 Licks, Method Book One for Beginners and Method Book Two for the Intermediate to Advanced Student. He teaches privately in the Dallas area.
